Pablo Azcoitia – Spain
How would you describe your Erasmus experience at UGD?
My experience with Erasmus has been positive. I am glad I chose UGD Shtip as my first and only Erasmus experience. I got to know a nice country that I, otherwise, would not have known. The staff at the Erasmus+ office was attentive, and the Erasmus buddies did a great job, both on helping and entertaining us.
What would you want to say to students thinking about going?
I encourage them to do it, no doubt. Shtip is a city full of life, young people and nice places. Furthermore, Macedonia is a good location to get to know the Balkans, Greece and many other places around. Don’t be afraid of the language, even the butcher or the supermarket cashier will be glad to teach you their language. People are nice and helpful, and they will take their time to try to make your time in Macedonia as comfortable as possible.
What does Erasmus + mean to you?
For me Erasmus+ is much more than a student exchange program. I find it more as a cultural Exchange, in which you get a full immersion to another country. Of course, studies are the main dish of this meal, but along with that we get really interesting sides: culture, language, friends, experiences, trips, parties, and most importantly, many memories that you Will take back home. ONLY GOOD MEMORIES.
